Joern Schlimm is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Sport Economics and Sport Management of the German Sport University Cologne. His research interests include Web3 activations and their application in the sports industry. In addition to his research, Joern works at the football governing body FIFA as Senior Manager providing audit, risk, and advisory services to the organization.

Before joining FIFA, Joern founded a sports consultancy in Dubai offering governance and risk management services for sports organizations around the globe.
